World Music Academy Inspire: Training Course for 16 to 24 year olds
Are you a young musician who sings, plays an instrument or creates their own music? Do you want to study music or work in the field of music, but are not sure how to start that journey?
Musiko Musika’s World Music Academy: Inspire is a new training and creative development course for culturally diverse and talented young musicians aged 16 to 24. During the course you will develop your own musical skills, join a performance group, work with our fantastic and inspiring team of professional musicians and be trained to use your skills on a paid work placement with our classes at the Lyric. The course will take place during evenings with some additional days during holiday periods, and lead to an Arts Award qualification.
We want young musicians from all backgrounds to be able to progress towards a career in the music industry or working with community music, so don’t miss out!!
What’s included in the course?

The course includes work to attain an Arts Award qualification (Bronze)
*The course is free. A fee will be paid to trainees for their work placement activities, and bursaries are available to cover travel expenses during the course.

Mondays from 3rd October 18.45 to 20.30
Plus 27th & 28th October 10.00 to 16.00
Spring term dates to be confirmed.
Venue:
All course sessions and work placement activities will take place at the Lyric Hammersmith

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview during the week of 19th September, with the successful applicants being notified by 26th September
This course is open to young people from all areas of London, but priority will be given to young people living or attending school/ college in Hammersmith and Fulham.
